Since 1991, participants in Assistance League's Footsteps Run/Walk have let their running feet help put new shoes on school children. Close to 500 runners and walkers participate in this event, which benefits
Operation School Bell. Young children are also able to participate in helping the community through the 1K Kids Fun Run. This family-styled event is a wonderful opportunity to be of service to the community. For a small registration fee, you receive a long-sleeved "race-day" T-shirt as well as the enjoyment of knowing you've brightened the lives of children in need living in the Santa Clarita Valley. Sponsorship of this race is always encouraged.
